Hi, I’m Claire

My work is rooted in the belief that when parents are well supported and nourished during birth and postpartum, they carry that balance and love into their families—and it ripples outward into the world.

With over 15 years of experience nurturing babies and parents, and a decade immersed in the study and teaching of yoga, I’ve shaped a holistic doula practice that honors the evolving mind-body-spirit connection.

My approach weaves together evidence-based education, practical tools, and deep respect for your individual journey, always centering birthing parents with care and intention.

A Little About My Path…

During my time studying Psychology at Clark University, I found myself drawn to the spaces where modern medicine meets alternative healing.

Living with chronic health challenges, I cultivated a curiosity for holistic health and self-designed a concentration that allowed me to explore this intersection. My favorite classes—like Sociology of Medicine, Medical Ethics, and the Study of Death and Dying—gave me a profound respect for life’s most universal and transformational experiences.

After graduating in 2014, I stepped into my first postpartum doula role while simultaneously studying to become a perinatal yoga teacher. I distinctly remember the full-body “yes” of that moment—knowing I’d found my calling. From that day forward, my practice as a doula and yoga teacher grew organically, family by family, with each journey affirming that there is no single “right” way to birth or raise a child.

What guides my practice

I aim to hold a grounded, open space where education and intuition merge. Here, we’ll discuss the physiology of birth, navigate common medical interventions, and explore newborn care with the same reverence we give to the quiet wisdom of your body, your instincts, and your unique story.

This work is deeply personal and ever-evolving—much like the families I serve. It’s my honor to walk alongside you through this sacred transition, helping you feel supported, empowered, and connected to the unfolding rhythm of your own journey.

WORDS FROM FAMILIES

"I had a lot of fear around birth and if I could handle the pain. Claire helped me prepare ahead of time and was with me every step of the way. With her support and the tools we used, I ended up surprising myself and got through a lot of the initial pain without medication or catastrophizing the situation. I feel proud and powerful reflecting on the birth of my daughter now." - J. L.

"Upon first meeting Claire I knew she would be a good fit for me and my family. She has such a calming presence that was so needed during a time of high anxiety. She is also professional and compassionate with what you’re dealing with as a new mother. She was reachable whenever i felt like I was struggling before we even had our first in person meeting. I highly recommend Claire to anyone looking for a postpartum doula."  - M. R.

"We were so lucky to have Claire's support during the first months of our daughter's life. Being first time parents, we learned from her experience, and her firm and calming energy shifted our initial feelings of chaos and fear. She helped me transition back to work and even gain confidence and understanding of my changed body. She's a dream!" - N. R.
